Are you an experienced accounts receivable professional looking for an interim opportunity in the heart of Minneapolis?

Our client in the Higher Education space is looking for an Interim Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team ASAP, working onsite with flexible hours. This role offers a chance to manage student billing and financial transactions, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and providing excellent customer service.

**This is a full-time, CONTRACT opportunity working 40/hrs. a week.

Location: Minneapolis, MN 55404 (Fully onsite role with flexible schedule!)

Start Date: Looking to have someone start ASAP!

Duration: Approximately 2-3 months in duration.

Reports to: CFO and/or Controller

Main Duties:

• Accounts Receivable: Send out all student billing throughout the semester
• Track financial aid and adjust bills accordingly with loans that come through
• Track and adjust student payment plans as needed
• Process all financial transactions between students and the school
• Handle federal financial aid processes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations (requires high attention to detail and organization)
• Provide customer service to students and parents regarding billing and financial aid
• Process payments and applications for the upcoming fall semester through a third-party processor
• Review holds on past due accounts; provide timely notices to students
• Work with collection agencies, as necessary, on recovery of delinquent student accounts

Ideal Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
• 5 years of general accounts receivable and collections experience required
• Experience in higher education is preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Jenzabar software experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude needed for this role

Compensation: Pay Rate: $25 - $30/Hr. (based on experience)
