Effective leadership and interpersonal skills; Supervisory experience preferred. Preferred experience in Head Start program, knowledge of Performance Standards and ERSEA. Working knowledge of Child Plus software with emphasis on collection, analysis and reporting of data. Ability to coordinate and track recruitment efforts, work with community agencies and child welfare system. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Job SummaryTo lead and support Family Service Workers, ensuring effective communication of program goals and compliance with all Performance Standards and Policies and Procedures. To oversee recruitment processes to ensure program efficiency and effectiveness. To enhance staff performance through regular meetings, trainings, and reflective supervision. To collaborate with program leaders, committees, and community groups to share data and implement recommendations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Adhere to the Mission and Vision of HCESC. Communicate the program's philosophy, mission, services and goals to staff, families and the community. Provide leadership and assistance to the Family Service Workers. Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of social work and best practice. Organize and facilitate meetings and trainings for staff. Advance staff performance by meeting regularly with personnel individually and in team environment to update and plan. Serve as a liaison to ensure compliance with other Early Learning Program departments. Work collaboratively with other program leaders, committees and community groups by sharing data and acting upon recommendations. Ability to create, revise and implement program policies and procedures. Promote staff development by using reflective supervision and performance evaluations. Demonstrate a strong initiative, creativity and teamwork mentality. Generate recruitment tracking reports on a regular basis and communicate the information to staff as necessary. Ensure that staff works collaboratively to assist families with completing the enrollment process. Conduct regular monitoring of PIR data and Family Partnership Agreement goals. Process, collaborate and resolve staff, complaints, and concerns. Assist with preparation of data for self-assessment and community assessment. Submit family service and recruitment information for the monthly ECE/Family newsletter. Provide oversight to all attendance related issues i.e. daily attendance, attendance concerns, absence patterns and consecutive absences. Improve program efficiency and effectiveness by using technology to enhance and/or create systems to share and track information. Improve professional growth by seeking feedback, reflecting on and assessing own practice. Demonstrate the ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socio-economic and ethnic background and demonstrates ability to share information objectively and non-judgmentally. Perform other duties as assigned to assist in providing services to children and families. OTHER PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Attend/participate in all meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as designated/ approved by supervisor. Maintain professional boundaries at all times. Good oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks. Ability to meet timelines, federal, state, local mandates and regulations. Computer literacy and familiarity with various applications. Facilitates communication with others by using available technologies. Possess valid driver's license and vehicle operated legally according to Ohio law. Ability to adapt to handle stressful situations. Able to work non-traditional hours when necessary to accommodate family schedules. Perform other tasks, as assigned by the Director. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Shall be appointed to the number of days as determined by the work assignment. Salary to be established by the Board.
