St. Rocco School seeks a full-time Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The candidate will be responsible for all facets of guiding the students through a Fifth Grade curriculum. The ideal candidate will be a team player, someone who works well with fellow professionals in living the school's mission, "Sharing the Love of the Heart of Christ". The position is hired by the principal in conjunction with the pastor. Responsibilities:
- Supporting and upholding the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church in word and deed
- Encouraging all students in Grade 5 using kindness and patience to work toward high academic achievement in all subjects
- Providing strong classroom leadership in creating an organized and positive classroom environment
- Working effectively with all members of the St. Rocco School community to create a respectful, Christian working environment where each member of the faculty and staff is cherished
- Communicating regularly with parents regarding student progress
- Demonstrating professionalism in conduct, demeanor and work habits
- Performing administrative and supervision duties as the Fifth Grade homeroom teacher
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding school matters
- Maintaining current and accurate school records according to school policy
- Performing other responsibilities as designated by the principal or pastor of the school Requirements:
- Must be a faithful, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
- Bachelor's degree and Elementary and/or Middle School Certification required
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
- Must pass a BCI check
