Addison Northwest is seeking to hire a qualified Grant Accountant . The qualified candidate will possess strong skills in the area of accounting, budget building, procurement, time and effort tracking of staff funded by federal funds, data entry to grants management systems, and professional communication skills. This position will assist district leaders in writing strategies for grants that are allowable, and help keep departments on track with spending and revenue reimbursements. This position will work closely with the executive administrators of the district, and the fiscal services department. Qualifications ? Candidates must possess strong accounting skills with experience and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Practices. ? Candidates must be able to support the administrative maintenance of federally funded programs, including various federal, state, and local grants, and collaborate with other district personnel on projects that contribute to effective and integrated operations that enable the continuous improvement of educational programs ? Candidates must have experience with accounting software applications, web-based grant and project management tools, and other related information databases Essential Duties and Responsibilities ? Manage and support all aspects of grant-required functions, including accounting, budgets, operational implementation, reimbursement requests, reporting, and the maintenance of records. ? Track and maintain time and effort documentation on all federally funded staff. ? Perform procurement for all grant funded purchasing. ? Assist other district personnel with research and application of grants. ? Provide administrative support in the execution of specialized projects. ? Communicate effectively with all stakeholders as applicable. ? Implement district policies; follow school practices/procedures. ? Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development. ? Model ethical and professional behavior at all times. ? Collaborate with other school and district staff members to achieve the district's vision of learning. ? Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Finance & Operations FTE 1.0/ Full Year Supervisor: Director of Finance & Operations At least 3 years of relevant experience is preferred. Associate's degree required; Bachelor degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
