Creswell School District is seeking highly skilled candidates for a Licensed Practical Nurse position 6-8 hours per day to support students in Creswell School District. Position open until filled. Applicant screening begins May 22, 2024.Position DescriptionResponsibilities include:
Providing nursing support to students including medically fragile students, as defined by standards of nursing practice, medical protocols, and the District Registered Nurse.
Collaborating with the District RN and LPN's, educational staff, and parents to resolve health issues.
Operating and maintaining medically-related equipment.
Assisting with instructional accommodations and supports for students with medical challenges.
Observing students, collecting data, and recording student progress.
Administering assessments for monitoring student progress.
Participating in planning meetings for sharing student information and designing instructional services.
Using First Aid and CPR skills to help in emergency situations.
Maintaining regular and prompt attendance.
Other appropriate duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Prior job related experience, paid or volunteer, with school-age students
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic
Knowledge of basic principles of child development
Skills to implement nursing protocols under the supervision of a registered nurse, which may include G-Tube feeding, suction, tracheotomy care and seizure support
Ability to work cooperatively as a contributing member of a district team; maintain positive relations with other staff, students and the general public
Physical Abilities include frequent reaching, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying
Education: Associate degree or High School Diploma
Licenses, Certifications, and Testing: First Aid and/or CPR Card; LPN Licensure; Clear background check
