Orange East Supervisory Union, which is comprised of Bradford Elementary School, Blue Mountain Union School, Newbury Elementary School, Oxbow Middle/High School, River Bend Career and Technical Center, Thetford Elementary School and Waits River Valley School, is seeking to hire a middle school and/or high school special education teacher starting in the 2024-2025 school year. This is a permanent, full-time position which is part of the Orange East Education Association's collective bargaining unit. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for instructing students in basic skills using a variety of approaches and strategies including co-teaching. Consistent with state and federal law, the Special Education Teacher case manages, coordinates and provides an effective and efficient system of Special Education and Support Services designed to meet the needs of assigned students, and effectively integrate students into the least restrictive environment.
