Job Title: Middle School Spanish Language Arts Teacher We are looking for passionate Middle School Spanish Language Arts Teacher to join our team! The Middle School Spanish Language Arts Teacher is responsible for teaching Spanish language and literature to students in grades 6-8. This role involves developing and implementing lesson plans that help students enhance their Spanish reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. The teacher fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment, encourages cultural appreciation, and evaluates student progress. What You Will Be Doing
Develop and deliver engaging Spanish language arts curriculum aligned with educational standards.
Teach grammar, vocabulary, literature, and conversational skills in Spanish.
Create a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
Assess and track student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
Encourage cultural understanding and appreciation through relevant materials and activities.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and development.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language education.
Creating a positive and inclusive environment that supports the needs of all students, including those who are not native Spanish speakers
What you bring to the table
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Education
PA Instructional Certification or eligibility for instructional certification in Pennsylvania
Pedagogical knowledge and language proficiency, in addition to classroom management, organization, planning, instructional delivery, and technical skills
Ability to motivate and build relationships with parents, students and staff to promote student achievement
Good understanding of the cultural and linguistic nuances of the Spanish language
Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners

Full-time employment, 10-months, exempt
This position is for in-person work at our location
179 instructional days, 194 work days (new staff members work additional days for induction/orientation)
In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable
