RSU #38 Maranacook Area Schools A Caring School Community Dedicated to Excellence Job Posting: Full-Time Music Teacher RSU #38 is looking for a highly motivated music teacher to join a team of creative, talented music educators. The ideal candidate will have a true desire to implement a high quality choral and instrumental program to district students as part of the unified arts program, and will have an opportunity to collaborate with other professionals to integrate music culture and history with the general education program. The position may travel to elementary schools and have the opportunity to work with middle level students in order to support music education districtwide. Job Goal: To implement a high quality, fun and engaging music curriculum that engages and accommodates all student needs, abilities and learning styles. Qualifications:
  • Sound knowledge of choral and instrumental curriculum.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
  • A true passion for teaching music
  • Creative thinking, including for example, the ability to build lesson plans that will suit different individuals
  • Collaborative team player Certification: Music Pre-Kindergarten-12 Grade endorsement through the Maine Department of Education (or be able to obtain).
