Comments: This position will start in August and continue into the 2024/2025 school year.SummaryThe job of OFFICE COORDINATOR'S ASSISTANT - EXPLORER ACADEMY PROGRAM is done for the purpose/s of providing clerical support for the Building Administrator and within the main office.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assists administrators, staff, students, parents, vendors, volunteers, agency representatives, and the public for the purpose of providing appropriate communication, information and directions;
  • Prepares documents (e.g. correspondence, forms, reports, schedules, purchase orders, invoices, flyers) for the purpose of communicating information to school and district personnel, students, parents and the public;
  • Handles funds as assigned (e.g. checks, coins and cash) for the purpose of processing student fees, sale of products, etc.;
  • Oversees students, student workers and volunteers for the purpose of ensuring completion of assignments in a timely manner and providing a safe educational environment;
  • Maintains records (e.g. calendars, attendance records, student files, office files, supply and equipment inventories) for the purpose of providing accurate information, documentation and adequate supplies and equipment;
  • Responds to emergencies or other health-related situations for the purpose of meeting student health care needs;
  • Provides backup and overload assistance for the Office Coordinator and secretarial assistance to administrator(s) for the purpose of supporting administrative functions and ensuring the smooth operation of the school;
  • Advises administrators, staff and students regarding budget and accounting procedures for the purpose of ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations.
  • Processes financial documents and transactions (e.g. ASB, S. Haas Fund, Maternity Case Management) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of financial transactions and records, including fund balances;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent;
  • Expertise to perform multiple non-technical tasks;
  • Job-related experience is required.
Clearances:
  • Washington State Patrol and FBI Fingerprint Background Clearance.
Certificates:
  • First Aid and CPR Certification may be required;
