What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at Trusnik Brothers Investments?
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join a leading military and defense company. This position will be onsite in Huntsville, AL.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in mechanical design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, including SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management)
- Strong background in new product development
- Experience in sheet metal design and assembly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with military-specific product development and design
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering drafting, design, and technical support for the development of new systems and products
- Assist in the modification and revision of existing product designs to improve performance and functionality
- Create and modify 3D models and designs using SolidWorks
- Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies
- Participate in analysis, prototyping, 3D modeling, and 2D drafting activities as part of the product development lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all technical, regulatory, and operational standards
