Trustpoint.One has partnered with a state government agency in their search for Trial Attorneys with hands-on trial and/or administrative hearings experience for a long-term (3-4 months in duration) REMOTE project. In this role, the Trial Attorneys will work in conjunction with the Agency’s supervising Attorneys and Staff to handle cases regarding unlicensed business activities.

Duties will include:

• Drafting briefs and appeals
• Gather and evaluate evidence
• Conduct pre-hearing conferences and settlement discussions
• Handling witness preparation
• Represent client at administrative hearings which will be mainly held via Zoom
• Draft post-hearing briefing and final orders

The qualified Trial Attorney will have the following:

• Hands on experience with administrative hearings and/or trial experience
• Experience with witness preparation
• Knowledge of state regulatory and compliance rules
• Member of the New York Bar, in good standing
• Must be within commutable distance to New York City if needed in the office
• Flexibility to work full-time hours (40 per week)
• Private, dedicated workspace with computer and strong internet access
