Tryfacta is Hiring a Payroll/HR Specialist Near Minneapolis, MN

Position Title: Payroll/HR Specialist

Location: Downtown Minneapolis, MN, 55415

Duration: 6 months

Work Schedule: M-F | 8.00 AM - 4.30 PM or 5.00 PM (40hrs./week)

Note: Hybrid model (3 days on-site / 2 days remote) – Onsite for the first few weeks to learn environment/processes.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Payroll Activities:

  • Ideal candidate will have 2 years of using automated payroll software systems. (organization is currently using ADP).
  • Open to other payroll software system experience.
  • Working with ADP payroll/accounting software daily.
  • Completing ADP payroll – bi-weekly schedule. This organization has multiple cost centers, and shift premiums.
  • Knowledge of using the ADP Time and attendance module is helpful.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Entering new hires/terminations into the payroll and benefits system
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft products.
  • Ability to use spreadsheets and apply formulas to calculate various payment results.
  • Ability to analyze numerical and statistical data.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Work with internal benefits to support teams.
  • Integrity, communications, teamwork, respectful environment.
  • Open to being a role model.
  • Be available to meet with employees and explain payroll/paycheck questions.
  • Take on other potential projects that may be required to support the organization.

Human Resource Activities:

  • Partner with agency supervisors to implement policies and procedures.
  • Work with internal managers to support the new hire for first-day onboarding and introductions to the organization.
  • Responsible for Health Benefits enrollment, orientation, and transactions.
  • Prepare new hire offers, sending out prescreen requirements, and tracking information prior to the start date.

  • Assisting with interviews and employee concerns.
