TSMC is Hiring a [Summer 2024] Design FE BE Engineer Intern(5630) Near San Jose, CA

Overview Of RoleYou will be part of the design team responsible for all logic test chips designed at TSMC for yield learning in advanced process nodes as well as advanced packaging. You will be working on solving challenges associated with test chips in advanced process nodes.
This Internship Program is open to students currently enrolled in a degree-seeking University that are graduating in the year 2025/2026 with a PhD Degree. Prior internship experience with TSMC is required. The 2024 Internship will begin in July 2024 and continue through Sep. 2024.
Responsibilities
  • Design from algorithm to GDSII. Include model, RTL, integration, FPGA, Synthesis and APR.
  • SDC and synthesis.
  • Timing analysis and debug.
  • APR include floorplan, PG, clock tree, place, route, DRC, LVS
  • GPIO, PLL and top level integration/design.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing Ph.D. in Electrical engineering and graduating in 2025/2026.
  • Strong problem solving and programming skills (Verilog/Python/TCL)
  • Experience in using RTL/FPGA to design.
  • Understand the full design flow.
  • Self-Driven, highly motivated, highly organized, and schedule driven is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with FPGA/RTL, SDC, Synthesis DC, High level Synthesis, VCS and script is a plus.
  • Experience with fill design flow and APR tools is a plus.
