TUCS Equipment Inc is Hiring a CNC Machinist Near Princeton, MN
Job Duties:
- Responsible for ordering consumable tooling.
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; trimming heads.
- Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to company’s safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by entering labor hours per work order using Time Matrix
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Solidworks experience is key
- CAMWork experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in an apprenticeship and/or machinist program is ideal, but not necessarily a requirement if previous training or experience deems candidate qualified for the position.
- Maintaining quality and safety standards;
- Keeping records;
- Maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Conceptual and technical mindset with attention to detail because Tucs is an Original Equipment Manufactural (OEM).
- Demonstrates an understanding of controls, instrumentation, tooling, managing supplies and inventory.
- Working knowledge with the following CNC equipment is a plus:
- Doosan (Four Axis),
- DMG Mori (3 and 4 Axis)
- DMG Mori (2 and 5 Axis).
- Flexible scheduling – You get your choice between three 1st shift options where you will never work Sundays and rarely work on Saturdays. They are also very understanding of family events and appointments that you need to handle outside of work
