SUMMARYImplement the American School Counselor Association National Model (ASCA). As a member of the School Counseling staff, the counselor is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program for all students at the site, which aligns with the district and school’s mission to promote academic, social/emotional, and college/career development, while ensuring equity and access for all students.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Masters degree in School Guidance and Counseling or a related field.Arizona School Counselor Certificate.Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTSArizona Teacher’s Certification.Three years experience as a Teacher.Three years experience as a School Counselor.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIREProof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.Must hold a current Driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance coverage greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.COMMENTS 

Effective: 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR Location: Tucson Unified Virtual Academy - Escalante & Pantano Area 

FTE: 1.0 – 7.5 hours per day Work Calendar: 9.5 month 

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
