SUMMARY
Coordinates the activities and functions of designated programs. Analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objectives for the program are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications.
The Program Coordinator for Social Emotional Learning serves as a trusted liaison between the Tucson Unified School District, the community, health, and social service systems. This position will supervise, manage, and implement the strategic program plans for the district Community Health Worker model. The Program Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with internal and external partners to increase community awareness, self-sufficiency, and access to services and other resources among diverse populations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in education, Counseling, Social Work, Social Services, or similar area of study. AND
Four years of experience administering or coordinating programs in community organizations or settings.
OR
Eight years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs in community organizations or settings.
One year of supervisory experience.
AZCHW Voluntary Certification and CHW Core Competency Trained
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree.
Two or more years experience participating in community groups and involvement with community resources or services.
Knowledge of Trauma-Informed practices.
One or more years experience or training in Substance Misuse and Abuse Programs.
Experience working in school settings.
Bilingual English and Spanish.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Effective: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Social & Emotional Learning - Broadway & Park Area
Classification: Non-Bargaining
FTE : 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
