This position will be located on site at the TUVA building. This teacher will be providing instruction for the students taking self-paced classes in Apex.

Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity.
Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Secondary Certificate with Math Approved Area
OR
Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate with Math Approved Area
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

LOCATION: Tucson Unified Virtual Academy/C.O.L.E. – on the Catalina HS Campus – Pima & Dodge Area

FTE : 1.0 FTE - 7.5 hours per day hours per day

Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
