DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TUFF SHED OPERATIONS MANAGER?Production & Installation Management Working directly with the Operations employees,building customer-focused teams that satisfy Tuff Shed’s customers’ needs Manages the logistics including shipping,receiving, PACK, and communication to the cross docks.In partnership with the DM, responsible forrecruitment of Production Manager, Cross Dock Personnel and Delivery/Warrantyand prefabricator vacancies Following the direction of the DM, supervise Installationfunction, reviewing sales orders to ensure financial and logistical criteriahave been satisfactorily met Oversee daily planning/scheduling of theOperations team’s manpower and materials Perform customer service duties, such asresolving warranty issues by reviewing and scheduling work to be performed asrequired to satisfy the customer and fix the Tuff Shed product(s) Implements and carries out the Company’s SafetyPrograms and ensures compliance to DOT regulations, including the management ofall associated recordsPreparing,scheduling, and leading store safety meetings, trainings and work-relatedinjury investigations as required by OSHA guidelines and Tuff Shed Safety Department Assistingthe DM with daily, weekly, and monthly corporate document submittalsPerformingmonthly cycle counts and ongoing inventory managementProposing new and/or alternative methods ofoperating to ensure that the Store remains fluid and can adapt to ever changingchallenges, as identified Under the direction of the DM, recruiting,hiring, training, and supervising the performance of the operations teamsIn conjunction with the Sales Manager, resolvingwork problems among store Operations and Sales teams and informing the DM offinal outcomesOperates the Factory efficiently and effectivelyin order to produce the assigned and expectedprofitablyRecruits, hires, trains, and manages productionteam members including but not limited to Production Manager, and ShopSupervisor to ensure the optimal use of materials and minimal use of labor Maintain appropriate staffing levels to maximizeproduction and maintain labor costs as budgetedPerforming daily safety walk-through inspectionsof the Shop area and the YardEnsure tools and equipment are secured,inventoried and maintained, and meet safety requirements Organizes, directs, and leads the productionemployees effectively and efficiently using management best practices Under the direction of the DM and in conjunctionwith the Production Manager and/or the Shop Supervisor, performing fabricatoremployees’ performance evaluations, as required; also, preparing and conductingfabricator employees’ disciplinary actions and making recommendations to the DMregarding counseling, warnings and/or terminations Certifies the Store’s inventory is accurate byconducting monthly physical inventory counts Makes sure that all material is ordered in atimely manner, meeting production schedules while minimizing inventory costs Effectively negotiate and develop relationshipswith local suppliers to ensure that materials are purchased at or belowstandard cost Ensures that building quality, communication,and customer experience are in alignment with theCompany expectations and its impact on the Tuff Shed brand Manages the Company’s Warranty Program andensures that it is followed, and any required repairs are conducted in a timely manner Recruits and onboards subcontractors to surpass 35%of the store’s revenue budgetInspects the quality of work being performed by subcontractors to ensure Tuff Shed finished product quality expectations are met or surpassed SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume productionenvironment, preferredProven experience in successfulbusiness-to-consumer sales in large ticket productsProven leadership and relationship buildingskills, including experience managing employees and resolving employeerelations issuesDOT, OSHA, and employment law knowledge highly preferredAbilityto effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, businesspartners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general public Abilityto solve complex business problems using sound logic and good judgmentAbilityto read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and indiagram form. Abilityto prepare written correspondence and reports which create a professional imagefor Tuff Shed Abilityto effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, businesspartners, suppliers, co-workers, managers and the general public Ability to use mathematical, accounting andfinancial tools as they apply to Tuff Shed business.
