Minimum Qualifications
  • One (1) year of professional experience in developing, implementing or evaluating human services, sociology, public health, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Education Field
OR
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that includes at least one
  • year of professional experience in developing, implementing or evaluating human services, education, sociology, public health, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
  • Intermediate Computer skills to include, but not limited, to Microsoft Office Products.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • The Financial Representative provides the unit with knowledge and field experience gained from working in administrative capacities as well as human services administration.
  • Assigned projects are diverse and varied, short and long term, and require flexible and adaptive working proficiency.
  • Assigned projects require a high level of proficiency in utilizing, interpreting and analyzing the information contained in the Department’s software, systems, databases and internet/extranet.
  • May be responsible for training and troubleshooting the above-mentioned systems with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond, either verbally or in writing, to select inquiries from intra and inter- departmental units, outside entities and family/applicants.
  • Coordinates the development and maintenance of information technology to support program operations and monitor the tracking systems.
  • Reviews and recommends modifications to program manuals and materials based on policy revisions.
  • Develop and update forms, reports and files.
  • Coordinates the collection of Data to prepare reports.
  • May be involved in provider recruitment, enrollment, dis-enrollment and outreach activities.
  • May be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, researching, and reconciling all billing and payment discrepancies that apply to both consumers and providers.
  • May be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of existing payments and ensuring they are updated in the systems as needed.
  • May be responsible for monitoring and reviewing financial and billing issues related to the provision of services for consumers under the Medical Assistance Program: assist in evaluating, monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of special program initiatives assigned to the unit: procurements, monitoring contracts, and developing and overseeing contract budgets.
  • May be responsible for monitoring the compliance of reporting requirements that fall under financial state and federal regulations, as well as recommending and writing state survey findings based on non-compliance.
  • May be responsible for identifying systemic issues, making recommendations for resolutions, and working with the appropriate Department offices to implement the resolutions.
  • Must also assist with project development tasks on new and untested projects assigned to the unit.
  • Will assist in gathering and organizing diverse program and technical long term care information for executive staff to use in public forums and answer questions for other states, other Commonwealth agencies, and the legislature.
  • May be involved in fair hearing preparation.
  • Participates in trainings, meetings and conferences on behalf of the Bureau as assigned.
  • Assist in tracking information, reviewing reports, and preparing reports for the supervisor, CMS and Agency when needed.
  • Employee may be assigned to oversee program enrollment, funding, and effectiveness.
  • Other related duties as required.
