POSITION SUMMARY

This position ensures NDE field personnel meet customer project requirements and expectations by identifying and resolving deficiencies in company processes or executions that relate to project deliverables. The successful candidate will be able to pull and analyze data gathered by NDE technicians for each operational report and prepare it to meet the requirements of the client(s). Candidate will be responsible for obtaining a thorough understanding of operational processes to successfully develop the NDE technicians and identify process improvements. Ensures efficient operation of the office by supporting both the Quality team and the NDE team through a variety of tasks related to the organization’s overall operations. Assists in the maintenance and inventory functions associated with relative project data and equipment. Interacts with field technicians and clients to improve overall quality processes and expectations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Communicate with Quality and NDE teams to outline project requirements and expectations.
  2. Prepare documents in accordance with client expectations and internal procedures.
  3. Coordinate with NDE technicians to ensure all documentation is submitted to TIR in the required time frame.
  4. Audit reports and deliver to customers in a timely manner.
  5. Assist in the maintenance and record keeping of NDE equipment.
  6. Investigate client or technician complaints of internal issues with reports that need fixed and/or corrected.
  7. Collaborate with Quality and NDE teams to develop new products, designs, and training methods as needed.
  8. Assist management with technician training.
  9. Reply to general information requests from clients with timely and accurate information.
  10. Contribute to team/departmental efforts by accomplishing tasks and results as needed and expected.
  11. Review, analyze and create various operations reports as needed.
  12. Travel to various locations (less than 10%) for client training, field audits, or equipment delivery as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Preferred candidates will have experience in pipeline integrity and/or non-destructive evaluation methods.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with experience in other quality positions, document control, or project coordination who exhibit a high level of attention to detail and ability to “follow through”.
  • Ability to maintain and calibrate NDE equipment and/or recommend repairs preferred.
  • Experience comprehending field operating procedures and/or code documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate across functional lines. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an innate ability to resolve conflict and communicate effectively with field technicians.
  • Ability to detect and mitigate risks associated with non-conformance.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to assist in creating a department atmosphere which encourages accountability, innovation, and high performance.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
