Tune Therapeutics is Hiring a Scientist, Ex Vivo Developmental Biology Near Seattle, WA

Tune Therapeutics is seeking a Scientist to join the Ex Vivo team. We are looking for a critical thinker and team player to contribute to our efforts to develop novel approaches to guide differentiation of iPSCs into various cell types. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development and application of functional genomics technologies in various cellular contexts.

You will have the following technical responsibilities:

  • Lead in the design, execution, analysis, and communication of experiments to assess phenotype and function of iPSC-derived cell types
  • Develop novel screening platforms and technologies to improve differentiation and function of iPSC derived cell types
  • Design and execute high-throughput screens for various cellular phenotypes
  • Drive the design of novel screening libraries
  • Develop and utilize an array of functional genomics technologies to characterize populations of various cell types

The qualified candidate will possess the following education and experience required:

  • Ph.D. with 0-3 years of experience in Developmental Biology, Synthetic Biology, Genetics, or Life Sciences
  • Expertise with planning and executing bulk and single-cell genomic profiling experiments (e.g. RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, etc.,) and comfortable thinking in multi-omic space
  • Extensive experience differentiating human iPSCs towards numerous lineages
  • Comfortable in a command-line environment
  • Familiar with CRISPR (or similar) technologies
  • Prior experience developing molecular technologies
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to carefully follow complex protocols
  • Strong communication skills in technical writing, documentation, and oral presentation
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate with others

The starting compensation range for this role is from $100,000 to $125,000 annually (adjusted for location), based on skills, education and experience that is relevant to the position. Other components of total compensation include annual bonus and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
