Job description - Hourly Position (traditional)

The essential functions of this position are : ·

• Must comply with all state and federal mining laws
• Watch out for the safety of self and other co-workers
• Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
• Perform strenuous tasks in a fast paced and changing environment
• Load and unload supplies· Experience with Belt and power moves
• Change rollers during downtime· Install Mechanical splices
• Install and change out belting
• Empty the longwall storage unit
• Maintain beltlines
• Install and maintain scrapers
• Preform transfer maintenance
• Cutting and welding
• Concrete work

The marginal activities of this position are :

Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experience

Work Schedule :

• 12 hour shift (Monday or Friday)
• 12 hour shift (Saturday & Sunday - at Time and Half rate)
• Steady Day or Midnight shift

License / Certification :

• WV Miner's Card - Black Hat (Required)
• Experience in building belt drives & transfers (Preferred)

Physical Requirements :

• Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner
• Use various hand tools
• Lift, carry, push, pull tools, materials and supplies 50 100 lbs. regularly.
• Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary
• Work Closely with others in a team environment
