Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools is Hiring a Coordinator I, Alternative Ed Student Support Near Sonora, CA

Job Summary
Under the supervision of an administrator and as part of the alternative education team, provides transition services for students in TCSOS alternative education programs; provides recordkeeping, assistance, and interaction and communication with youth, families, staff, probation officers, and other agencies. This position also coordinates and supports college and career efforts designed to promote job readiness, career awareness and exploration, connections to community work and education programs, and comprehensive planning for alternative education students to be successful in life after high school. In addition, this position will coordinate the alternative education PBIS effort. The Coordinator I, Alternative Ed Student Support will serve a multifaceted role encompassing duties of a Transition Specialist, College and Career Specialist, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coordinator. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with educators, students, families, and community partners to provide seamless support in educational and behavioral success.

- Bachelor's Degree (High School Diploma or Equivalent, two years of experience working with educational agencies, community, or juvenile justice setting may be substituted for AA/Bachelor's degree).
- Previous experience in K-12 educational program evaluation and data collection.
- Experience working with adult learners.
- Experience managing events or educational activities
- Experience collaborating with community-based organizations and other county agencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with multidisciplinary teams, bicultural, bilingual desired
