Turbotec Products is Hiring a CAD Designer Near Newton, NC

Turbotec is a climate-controlled manufacturing facility located in Newton, NC looking for CAD Designers. Turbotec has been in business for over 40 years and is owned by Mueller Industries. CAD Designer Responsibilities and Job Expectations:

The Product Engineer/CAD Designer is responsible to provide engineering and drafting services in support of the design, manufacturing, and application of Turbotec products heat exchangers. This position reports to the Product Engineering Manager.

Some of the specific duties of a CAD Designer will consist of the following:

· Responsible for all drawings and CAD models with related file organization and management

· Develop and maintain drafting standards used in Product Engineering.

· Prepare accurate layouts, sketches, and detailed drawings pertaining to assigned projects and shopfloor.

· Assist with development and maintenance of part numbers, descriptions, and revisions.

· Translate CAD files received by and sent to customers or vendors.

· Manage CAD software including update and support from CAD vendor.

· Participate in product design meetings for the purpose of familiarization with project requirements and objectives.

· Develop and perform maintenance on released detail and assemblies based upon approved ECNs, and Deviations.

· Carry out development projects as assigned.

· Works towards continuous improvement in processes and products.

CAD Designer Position Requirements:

· Competent in AutoCAD Inventor and Vault.

· Analytical and critical thinking skills.

· Good geometric ability and mathematical skills in analyzing measurements.

· Ability to analyze stated requirements and translate into models.

· Understanding of tolerances as they relate to customer requirements, Turbotec manufacturing capability and the ability to translate tolerances to drawings.

· Timeliness in carrying out assigned tasks.

· "Motivated Team Player" attitude.

· Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
