A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TABERNACLE DAY PROGRAM COORDINATOR
As a Tabernacle Day Program Coordinator, you lead a team of four or more staff members working in our human services program. The services provided are in a congregate care setting and include personal care, safety, and fun activities. You love seeing our clients with disabilities work on and achieve goals! A true leader, you are a source of support for our team members and help them to be the best direct support professionals they can be.
This program currently serves 17 individuals with room to grow and supervises up to 5 staff. The clients at this program love to be engaged in various activities in the program as well as spending lots of time experiencing adventures outside of the center such as bowling, swimming, visiting national parks, and going on picnics. This position will assist individuals in the program with personal hygiene care and frequent assistance with moving or transfers, behavior management, communication, safety, recreation and leisure and various other skills to learn independence in their lives. The Coordinator will oversee, plan and execute specific activities in these areas.
You work hard to ensure day program tasks are being handled appropriately. As someone who teaches staff to better serve individuals with disabilities, you are patient, professional, and kind. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TABERNACLE DAY PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Are you able to inspire and motivate others to put forth their best effort? Can you clearly communicate with both clients and coworkers? Do you have excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail? If yes, you might just be perfect for this human services position!
SCHEDULE
The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm. In addition, flexibility to work outside of the typical schedule will be needed for program and agency events.

Formerly known as Project TURN, we were founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better program services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities across Utah. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.
