Interim Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller

Part-time, 2-3 days a week

One of our local client's has an interim need for a part-time Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to support the accounting department for the foreseeable future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Controller with leading daily accounting operations, tax, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and general ledger.
• Review, analyze, and prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with the corporate monthly close schedule.
• Perform monthly/quarterly close procedures and work with functional groups within the organization.
• Monitor and analyze department workflow; establish more efficient policies, procedures, controls, and use of resources.
• Ensure that payments, reporting, and reimbursements are accurate, consistent and timely.
• Develop and drive necessary financial policies, procedures, and systems to scale Accounting with business growth; lead the creation and maintenance of related documentation.
• Assist with various ad-hoc tasks given by the Controller (i.e. technical accounting research, revenue recognition, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline; MBA preferred.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Public accounting preferred
• 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within the software/Software-as-a-Service industry
• Experience with Unanet, NetSuite, or Intacct preferred
