Area Sales Manager

Turner Dairy is expanding and is once again excited to add more talent to our sales force! Turner Dairy Farms, a family-owned company, is looking for an Area Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for opening, servicing, and increasing both existing and new accounts in addition to growing Turner’s value-added product line. The ideal candidate will be committed to driving sales and building relationships. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your sales career!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop annual strategic sales plan and research new market opportunities for customer base / territory.
• Facilitate long-term relationships and secure repeat business by developing and sustaining regular contact with customers. This can include in-person visits, emails, and other modes of communication used to maintain or generate new leads.
• Responsible for driving sales and building relationships in the grocery and retail sector.
• Partnering with internal / external sales resources to support needs and increase business.
• Provide direction and support to field colleagues to increase sales and market share, provide ongoing value to customers, establish priorities, use marketing tools, manage larger portfolio of products.
• Position will require ensuring point of sales material is in place for promoted items. Willing to assist with vault resets as needed.

Qualifications:

• College education preferred.
• Proven sales experience preferred.
• Strong prior relationships and experience in grocery, c-store, or foodservice.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn other internal software.
• Capable of conducting video calls (Microsoft Teams & Zoom) with current customers and prospects.
• Willing and able to interact with sales team on a regular basis and be a team player.
• Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and organizational skills.
• Ability to be both adaptable and flexible with day-to-day schedule.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record and ability to drive daily to customer locations.
