Our rapidly growing pharmaceutical client is seeking a highly motivated Capital Project Engineer to support the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will lead the engineering project management team. This role will be responsible for refining and managing the capital project program in addition to the direct management of various construction and engineering projects from concept through qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a capital project program that is aligned with company goals and objectives through strategic planning and success project execution
• Provides leadership throughout the project by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, or other involved parties; develops detailed description of jobs and materials necessary to complete project
• Responsible for all aspects of the project, including developing and managing project controls, updating project stakeholders, supervising multidisciplinary design teams, and managing contractors
• Prepares and submits budget estimates and regularly communicates with stakeholders concerning project progress and costs
• Oversees contract negotiations, revisions, and additions and adherence by all parties
• Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices
• Responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with contractors, design firms, and consultants; including, but not limited to reviewing proposals, awarding bids, managing contracts, and allocating resources

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 10 years of project experience required
• EIT certification preferred
• Experience with the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
• Ability to manage a large portfolio of projects ranging in varying sizes, durations, and complexities
• Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations related to the construction and pharmaceutical industry
• Conceptual planning ability
