Assessment - Orientation Licensed Therapist

Turning Point has an opening for a full-time Therapist providing Orientation and Assessment services to new patients. Therapists at Turning Point provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues. Therapists must be aware of social factors affecting the psychological well-being of individuals, services/programs for psychological/sociological improvement of individuals, and in conducting evaluative interviews.

This position completes biopsychosocial assessments, family intake assessments, and healthcare disparities assessments as well as orienting new patients to Turning Point programming.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

• Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling/Therapy, required
• Licensure in the State of Georgia: LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LAPC, or LPC
• Competence in understanding and treating primary mental health diagnosis, substance dependence, and the treatment of dual diagnosis.
