Materials Analyst

A Materials Analyst is responsible for inventory tasks such as cycle counting, audits, systematic assembly builds, as well as supporting the material team. 

Essential Functions

• Complete all inventory tasks, including cycle counts, audits, data entry and inventory reconciliation 
• Support with the assembly shipping schedule and perform systematic builds of materials
• Assist in picking material for shipment using forklift equipment
• Assist in putting away material using forklift equipment
• Generate correspondence, respond to routine inquiries, and perform a variety of clerical duties
• Communicate issues to appropriate TVS leadership
• Maintain various computerized reports, charts and graphs
• Ensure data accuracy in system, including location, quantity on hand, etc.
• Regular and reliable attendance at work
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
• Supporting the material team as needed

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE) one or all PPE may be required based upon the site requirements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full Time, Non-Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.

Travel

No travel is required between locations

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of shipping/receiving experience
• Inventory management experience
• Demonstrated experience with WMS systems
• OSHA-endorsed forklift certification or ability to become certified
• Customer service experience preferred
• Experience with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or JDA / Blue Yonder a plus
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
