OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content. JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Multi-Media Journalist Do you love media? RESPONSIBILITIES: As an MMJ you will write, shoot, edit and present stories live for daily newscasts, station website and other social media platforms. You will develop sources in the community and contribute story ideas daily. You will use your creative storytelling techniques to engage viewers and break down information to be clear and concise to our audience. We are looking for that ‘people person’ who can work in our TEAM environment! QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field with a minimum 2 years on-air experience in a commercial television news operation. You must have non-linear editing experience, preferably Edius or Adobe Premiere. You must possess exceptional writing skills and work efficiently under tight deadlines. You must have a passion for storytelling and come to our editorial meetings with great story ideas!
