OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content. JOB DESCRIPTION WTXF Fox 29 is currently seeking a skilled Temporary Video Editor for our locally produced Fox First Run program. This temporary position begins in August and lasts through December. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in editing video, sound, and visual elements, and be proficient with digital non-linear editing tools, particularly Premier Pro and Edius, plus have familiarity with managing digital content systems. We prefer someone with 3-5 years’ experience, familiarity with ENG news and jib cameras, and a deep understanding of the legalities and ethics in media. A high school diploma is required, and a college degree is preferred. We're looking for candidates with the ability to collaborate with our creative team and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and the aptitude to adapt to new technologies are essential.
