Hydraulic Press Brake Operator ResponsibilitiesReview drawings on job carts available and select the one with the highest priority
Move the job cart to the appropriate press brake for processing the parts on the cart
Select and install the correct dies and punches for the metal size and type to be formed
Set the backstops and depth gauges as required (manual press brakes only)
Set the machine parameters as required for the metal size, type, and bend required
Read the drawings as required to bend parts properly, including order, and orientation(s)
Identify the appropriate surface orientation (i.e., for polished metal)
Actuate the machine as required to achieve each bend
Check the bend results for accuracy
Adjust the set-up as necessary to achieve accurate bends
Communicate appropriately with Fabrication Coworkers, Management, and Project Engineers
Raise questions where drawings seem inaccurate
Clean and maintain the Fabrication area as requested
Hydraulic Press Brake Operator Qualifications2 years of Hydraulic Press Brake experience required
Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods required
Ability to move metal weighing 40 pounds often required
