MRO Sourcing Specialist (3 years exp. req.) Description
Our client, an industrial solutions provider, is looking for an experienced MRO Sourcing Specialist to add to their team in one of their nationwide locations. This role involves supporting sales teams and new sales opportunities by sourcing competitively priced MRO products, such as abrasives, chemicals and paint, safety supplies, electrical wire and fittings, bearings, hand tools, saw blades, hydraulic/pneumatic fittings, and more. MRO supplies is a newer offering for client, with fewer established product lines and vendor relationships, compared to other supplies; and as such, the MRO Sourcing Specialist may field a higher volume of questions initially in this role. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in sourcing MRO supplies across various vendors, the ability to read part specifications and prints and working knowledge of what information is needed to begin sourcing the appropriate product. MRO Sourcing Specialist (3 years exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Support our sourcing efforts for new sales opportunities
• Complete multiple quote packages in collaboration with sales teams
• Review prints, specification requirements, and cross-reference products
• Identify new and alternate supplier partners, sources and product solutions
• Maintain and update the sourcing guide; lead and report quote log efforts
• Build and maintain relationships with new and current suppliers/vendors
• Support sales and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) initiatives
MRO Sourcing Specialist (3 years exp. req.) Qualifications
• 3 years of MRO sourcing supplies experience required
• Experience building and managing vendor relationships required
• Knowledge of how to read prints and specifications sheets required
