Twin Falls School District #411 is Hiring a Payroll/HR Assistant Near Twin Falls, ID

JOB GOAL:

Under general direction of the Payroll and Human Resources Department, will maintain guest teacher payroll entries and employee leave records; assist the Payroll Manager in the responsibilities of the Payroll Department; assist the Human Resources Department with the implementation of time clocks and reconciling the data transfer to iVisions; and communicate with all district personnel in such a manner as to insure rapport and cooperation.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Maintain guest teacher work days and payroll entries as well as staff absences
  • Verify and reconcile all time with the AESOP and TCP systems
  • Enter employee hours, when necessary, into the electronic financial/payroll system, iVisions
  • Verify that time and attendance programs balance for each payroll
  • Update address changes, W-4 changes, deduction changes and other payroll adjustments as needed
  • Maintain payroll associated filing and assist with HR filing as necessary
  • Process and review benefits-related invoices to ensure they balance with TFSD records
  • Assist with workers' compensation program and related paperwork and administrative duties
  • Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the Superintendent and/or Board may deem necessary

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College education or technical coursework desired.
  • Three years of successful experience as a secretary. Four years school/school district secretarial experience desired. Or, combination of education and experience deemed acceptable by the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees.
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral member of a team.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time while ensuring the quality of each.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, chart, or spreadsheet form.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills, including appropriate English usage, grammar and punctuation, spelling, editing, and proofreading techniques.
  • Possess technical skills necessary in the efficient use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, Internet, and presentation software.
  • Candidates possessing an in-depth knowledge of Excel and Google programs (Docs, Sheets, etc.) are preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and to appropriately handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with team members, promoting a positive working environment.
  • Such alternatives as the Board may find desirable and acceptable.
  • Starting Salary Range - $17.67 - $21.87, depending on experience (based on 253 workdays)

This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment “at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.
