We are a privately owned 44 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Durham CT. We are seeking an individual to join our team and direct the recreational activities. The individual must meet the minimum qualification as outlined in the CT State regulations as a Therapeutic Recreational Director. Experience in long term care is necessary and should be able to perform tasks independently.

The hours for this position will be based on the needs of the facility but generally Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Activities Director Responsibilities include:

• Manages all aspects of the Activity Program
• Supervise, develop, and schedule all activity staff to include activity assistants according to Twin Maples’ policies, procedures, and standards.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining adequate Activity department supplies.
• Ensure that activity rooms and exterior recreation areas are prepared for scheduled activity program.
• Manages the electronic record (Point Click Care) for Recreation History and Assessment, including completing monthly activity calendar, and actions related to activities for all residents.
• Providing one to one activities with residents

Performing and assisting residents with performing hand hygiene and ensuring proper infection control procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
