Seeking team player for an assistants role in our Estimating Department that produces bid proposals for General Contractors. Twin Oaks Landscaping has been in business for 39 years and installs variety of commercial projects in Chicagoland area, including green roof and amenity decks in Chicago proper. This position will transition into a full time estimating position

Tasks include:

• Tracking bid invitations from contractors on Excel spreadsheet,
• Downloading and printing plans,
• Measuring and counting landscaping, green roofs and pavers on these plans via estimated software
• requesting pricing and sending plans via email/Dropbox to vendors,
• Data entry of bid proposals and other office administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent and pursuing college credit in the horticultural field.
• Must be a self-starter and understand deadlines.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Must have good phone and people skills.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically Excel.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat helpful.
• Knowledge of green industry terminology is helpful but not required
