Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial auditing, corporate accounting, and proficiency in financial software.

Duties:

• Process and maintain Two Bridges Neighborhood Council’s financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger.

• Reconcile grant-related accounts monthly.

• Solid working experience in all aspects of bookkeeping, non-profit experience a plus, 5 years bookkeeping, accounting experience.

• QuickBooks proficiency (or experience with similar accounting software), MS Excel and Word skills.

• Review annual budgets for TBNC programs in conjunction with Program Directors and the President.

• Prepare year-end audit packages and post any necessary adjusting entries to ensure year-end financial statements provided to external auditors are compliant with US GAAP.

• Gather documentation and respond to inquiries for annual external audits.

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without supervision.

• Proven track record of developing and supporting creation of ad-hoc analysis.

• Responsible for TBNC's overall accounting functions, budgeting, annual and semiannual reports, accounting for special events, board reports and the preparation of the vouchers for submission to the various grant providers.

• Act as a liaison for TBNC during audits performed by various grant providers and independent accountants.

• Attend TBNC's Board of Director's meetings and present fiscal reports.

• Perform other oversight services that may be requested by the President for Two Bridges Senior Apartments, LP and Two Bridgeset Associates, LP.

Qualifications:

• Solid working experience in all aspects of bookkeeping mentioned in the job description.

• Non-profit experience a plus.

• 5 years bookkeeping, accounting experience.

• QuickBooks proficiency (or experience with similar accounting software), MS Excel and Word skills.

• Interaction with internal and external stakeholders; tact, confidentiality, and diplomacy skills are valued.
