The General Manager is responsible for delivering the highest customer service to increase sales, profitability, and the success of the franchise through: overseeing the hiring, training and motivation of franchise employees; overseeing and executing marketing and sales plans; controlling costs and improving profitability; and consistently exceeding customer expectations. Applicants should have strong knowledge of functional support areas, including: our core business, human resources, training, marketing, finance, and payroll.

Responsibilities
· Establish systems, policies and procedures for key areas
· Drive continual improvement of key areas of the business
· Oversee vendor agreements and contract negotiations to ensure strong working relationship and cost reductions where necessary
· Work with sales staff to develop and execute the franchise sales plan.
· Work with the move operations manager to ensure the profitability of moves as well as exceptional customer service
· Responsible for establishing staffing requirements, conducting interviews, new hire process and training of new employees
· Responsible for employee accountability and adherence to franchise system standards and policies
· Responsible for employee development, accountability and corrective action programs
· Ensure franchise compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines
· Ensure and recommend the appropriate training and development programs for staff offered through STICK MEN UNIVERSITY® to further the knowledge of the system
· Drive communication upward through monthly reports of all functional areas for executive review
· Responsible for the direction and day-to-day supervision of all management and office staff
· All other duties as assigned.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and be approved by insurance to operate company vehicles
· Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
· Must be knowledgeable regarding DOT regulations, HR compliance and related fields

· Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop, and direct people

· Must be proficient with computers and using technology to improve compliance, safety and performance of the franchise location.
