Tyler Junior College is Hiring a Director, Annual Giving Near Baxter, TX

JOB
The Director, Annual Giving is full time 12 month position that reports to the VP for Institutional Advancement/Chief Advancement Officer. This position is responsible for planning, developing and overseeing all administrative and operational functions for a growing annual giving program as part of the TJC’s department of Institutional Advancement (IA). The position strategically builds annual giving opportunities in support of priorities of TJC and the Tyler Junior College Foundation (Foundation), a more than $100 million support organization for TJC, the largest of its type in the State of Texas.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Primary ResponsibilitiesLeading and administering comprehensive annual giving program to retain current donors and encourage increased giving while engaging new donors to support TJC’s students, faculty and programs through the Foundation. Administering and building ongoing annual giving initiatives. o Overseeing and implementing discretionary giving efforts such as TJC NOW (annual funds to address emergency and immediate needs).Overseeing and implementing the Employee Campaign (faculty and staff yearly giving initiative). Overseeing and implementing renewal and new acquisition efforts to secure funding for annual scholarships.Overseeing and implementing annual scholarship golf tournament for Foundation (most significant resource for discretionary annual scholarship funding and primary engagement opportunity for current and prospective corporate and business donors). Overseeing and implementing annual giving efforts to support TJC programs through Spearhead TJC, a crowdfunding platform. Creating and implementing appeals to encourage new and increased annual gifts through personal solicitations, crowdfunding, direct mail, email, social media and other online platforms. Working with Manager, Donor Relations and Special Events to develop and implement fundraising and stewardship activities such as recognition for annual contributors. Developing strategies to broaden the network of annual donors in cooperation with IA personnel, TJC faculty, administrators and community volunteers.Building and managing an active portfolio of 50 plus prospective annual leadership donors with strong emphasis on moves management. Tyler Junior College Page 2 of 2 Human Resources • Working with Director, Advancement Operations and COO, Foundation to identify and develop reports to analyze data and annual giving trends. Recruiting and working with internal and external volunteers to help facilitate broad annual giving program.Preparing and administering, in collaboration with Vice President, a yearly budget for the annual giving program.Representing TJC and Foundation through participation in community organizations and professional groups.Playing a vital role in overall fundraising efforts.Performing other duties as assigned by Vice President. Additional ResponsibilitiesAs directed by the Vice President, creating and implementing giving opportunities as part of public phase of various campaigns through IA and the Foundation.Competencies Outstanding written and oral communications skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to recruit and direct various constituents.Must be able to work independently, respect confidentiality and maintain courtesy with constituents
