Summary /Objective
The Director of E-commerce will manage our brand website and implement innovative digital marketing campaigns to maximize revenue, and profit and increase customer satisfaction through a better shopping experience. They are tasked with all promotion planning, and site store functionalities, including proper management and display of product assets, internal functioning of site tools, and creating a look and feel that conveys the overall brand position. Working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Creative, the E-commerce Director drives the e-commerce business.
Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Day-to-day activities of running an e-commerce business, including web store enhancements, merchandising/assortment plans, marketing/promotions, inventory management, and analytics.
- Attend product review meetings to clearly understand the brand positioning and how to translate to optimized website performance.
- Build, manage, and refine online assortment, promotions, price management, and product/content story presentation. Lead team in executing seasonal vision from concept to launch.
- Oversee total brand site P&L; achieve top-line and bottom-line results. Manage and optimize the advertising and promotions budget/spend.
- Responsible for establishing metrics and key performance drivers such as conversion, new buyers, repeat buyers, sales, average order size (AOS), and average unit sales (AUS).
- Provide post-program ROI analysis; make recommendations based on results to increase sales.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues from a range of disciplines.
- Direct third-party vendors and manage external relationships
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Experience with Magento Commerce A
- Must have strong skills in analysis, strategy and planning, budget, and P&L management, merchandising and marketing, and vendor selection and management.
- Must be able to lead a team and collaborate as a senior strategist with the leadership team.
- Successful hands-on experience associated with a profitable e-commerce operation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical or digital/social concepts to a non-digital audience. Strong listening skills.
- Creative, respectful, and cool under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Marketing (Ideal) or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 10 years of experience heading e-commerce in a direct-to-consumer business that has achieved significant scale in a short period of time.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
