Description

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Starting pay is $20.05 / hour

Tasks :

• Primary tasks of position are to perform safety inspection of yard tractor at start of shift.
• Communicate with loading dock and guard house as to which trailers need moved and to what location within complex.
• Responsible for moving trailers in loading dock doors and pulling them out.
• Responsible for washing inside of Tyson trailers to insure cleanliness prior to placement in door.
• Responsible for placing seal on trailers on yard.
• Other tasks include refueling trailers, cleaning truck wash pit, taking trailers to service center.

Requirements : The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job listed below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Good hand / eye coordination.
• Subject to external environment, heat and cold.
• Capable of working in excess of 8 hours per shift and up to 6 or 7 days per week when required.
• Capable of catching stray chickens if necessary.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• 18 years or older
• must be able to pass MVR report. No CDL is required.
• Good driving record.
• NO DUI / DWIs in the last 12 months
• Capable of performing all listed job functions.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must have very good basic math skills.
• Must be willing to work weekends when required

Rehires must wait 180 days before rehire and must not have more than 3 rehires.
