Manager Accounts Payable & Cash Services (M) 664030

Repwest Insurance Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of U-Haul (NYSE:UHAL), is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor! This is a management-level role for candidates with 5 years of experience looking to further expand their career in corporate accounting.

Candidates will lead a small team and report directly to the Controller. The ideal candidate is competent, resourceful and has a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of five Staff Accountants and Clerks; Delegate assignments, ensure deadlines are being met and review deliverables
  • Act as the primary contact for all accounts payable inquiries, both internal and external
  • Assess and review processes to ensure internal controls are operating effectively
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and payments required of insurance carriers
  • Record business transactions through journal entries
  • Update spreadsheets and documents
  • Submit 1099 forms annually
  • Interface with auditors, actuaries, and regulatory bodies
  • Collaborate with sister departments on ad hoc projects
  • Conduct hiring/firing for accounts payable staff as needed

Requirements

  • College Diploma with minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 5 years of accounts payable experience; 2 years supervisory experience
