U.S. Bank’s Business Banking Marketing Office is seeking a Marketing professional with proven leadership experience creating best-in-class B2C and B2B content marketing strategies to work collaboratively and cross functionally, transforming how the Business Banking segment connects with existing and potential clients, deepening engagement, and driving business goals.
As the Content Marketing Lead within the Business Banking segment at U.S. Bank, you will be a critical driver of our Small Business growth strategy. You will lead the strategy, planning, research and creation of marketing content to build awareness, drive consideration and power conversion for all products and services within the Business Banking segment at U.S. Bank.
This individual develops and leads omnichannel, client-centric, marketing programs that maximize client growth, retention and engagement. Identifies and communicates key performance indicators to ensure marketing strategies are yielding positive return on investment as well as to modify and optimize strategies as necessary. Manages professional employees and/or supervisors of complex support production marketing team(s). Uses segment specific marketing strategies and media to launch marketing programs and/or products in collaboration with agencies, product, sales and technical teams. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address agility, resource and operational challenges. Leads and optimizes an agile, cross-functional operating model to drive business goals specific to content marketing. Collaborates with internal partners to ensure that all marketing programs are in accordance with all laws, regulations and bank policies. Will partner successfully with product, technology, credit and risk, and sales, to drive our revenue objectives. This is an experienced position requiring strong leadership/management, content marketing strategy, marketing technology, and project management skills.
Additional responsibilities include:
Establish a clear vision and bold roadmap, leveraging the knowledge of our partners in sales and product to shape the messaging and content architecture that defines our identity in the digital realm within owned and paid channels.
Cultivate partnerships within the product and sales organizations to uncover client needs, and develop content marketing strategies that reflect segment specific buying journeys.
Develop and manage the content marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of funds across existing activities, establishing, and funding test agendas to improve and expand capabilities and activities, balancing near-term and long-term growth and efficiency needs.
Establish a best-in-class content marketing engine, defining governance, and production processes to drive effectiveness, quality and efficiency.
Partner with analytics to develop and optimize targeting strategies that leverage third-party and first-party data sources.
Partner with digital marketing and analytics leaders to create experiences capable of developing signals and audiences consistent with high-intent leads.
Recruit, manage and develop a team of high-performing marketing professionals, overseeing all content marketing campaigns, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Partner with product and sales to shape audience strategy and segmentation.
Ensure that content marketing activities are properly measured, deploying a variety of tools and methodologies to drive near-term optimizations, as well as long-term strategic outcomes.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results
Consistent track record for scaling business via content marketing channels and strategies.
Advanced knowledge of CRM and lead generation strategies
Exceptional strategic and analytical problem solving and storyboarding skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Highly fungible and able to easily adapt to shifting priorities without disruption.
Advanced knowledge of assigned geographical area, competitive market, banking operations, and U.S. Bancorp's products and services
Strong organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Agility in thinking and delivery, along with proven ability to take direction in support of company goals
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and assignments that are completed on time and on budget
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages
MBA or equivalent markers of high achievement are a plus
Location ExpectationsThe role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
