Job Description

This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
The Technology Chief Risk Office (CRO) provides support to our business partners to maintain an agile, well-controlled environment that can rapidly and reliably deliver services across the enterprise, i.e., “go fast safely.” This candidate will play an integral role in the transformation of technology process and controls directly related to Cloud and the Technology Transformation program. In this role, a candidate will drive early integration of risk considerations and efficiently and effectively deliver enabling capabilities across risk and compliance functions for the Cloud program.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement controls to ensure sensitive data is not in unapproved environments.
  • Partner with Information Security Services (ISS), Enterprise Architecture (EA) and other subject matter experts to evaluate application compliance and platform readiness for cloud migration.
  • Support execution and identify enhancements for the application migration processes.
  • Execute risk assessments to support implementation of control requirements.
  • Identify gaps and drive solutions for processes and controls executed by the Technology Transformation program.
  • Ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and management of technology risk, including root cause analysis and resolution recommendations.
  • Accountable for an effective partnership between the Technology Business Line, Audit Services and Second Line of Defense.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

Core Activities:

  • Read and understand system design documentation for application migration from on-premise to Cloud
  • Identify risks with cloud architecture and data classification
  • Document risks identified in system design review for applications migration to the Cloud
  • Review application migration evidence and document findings. Review updated evidence until identified item(s ) are remediated.
  • Partner with ISS (Derek Tracey's team) on concerns and findings in system design documentation and application evidence for Cloud migration.
  • Review system design documentation and application evidence offline and during working sessions 
  • Document findings in identified risks with stakeholders
  • Participate in data classification working sessions to identify risks and determine the possible impact(s ) of migrating applications.
  • Understand Blueprints including usage of inherited Blueprints.
  • Usage of Software Inherent Risk Profile (SIRP) and Centralized Application Repository (CAR )to determine the risk rating of an application, data classification, and regulatory/compliance impacts of migrating applications.
  • Ability to understand and determine Controls and Control requirements.
  • Identify risks, be curious, and communicate concerns. Research and ask questions.
  • Document risks and create presentations to communicate findings at various levels of leadership.
  • Participate in an often fast paced environment under pressure for application migration reviews. Be comfortable communicating the identified risks and possible impacts with stakeholders and Leadership. 
  • Participate in workshops creating and reviewing data scanning guidance documents for application migration.
  • Participate in demos for upcoming application migration solutions
  • Participate in application migration meetings for system design reviews, ask questions, identify concerns, document findings.
  • Identify Cloud-based risks, create RAIDs, and participate in Risks, Issues and Intake review meetings to discuss identified risks. Collaborate with identified risk owner(s ) to review proposed remediation plan and confirm resolution post implementation.
  • Participate in Cloud Fingerprinting discussions and meetings concerning application provided or platform provided evidence. 
  • Participate in RTx improvement touchpoints to determine enhancements to the process. Partner with EA to create requests in Jira to track enhancements.
  • Participate in RCA and Issue Management meetings. Assist with feedback and provide input on management responses including challenging provided content.
  • Participate in RCSA workshops to determine and communicate possible impact to the Cloud
  • Lead monthly touchpoints with Leaders to have 1:1 time to communicate and build relationships.
  • Participate in mentoring - this is a great opportunity that should not be overlooked.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
