Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). - A one-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience Must Include The Following
- Developing methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts for Information Technology systems such as Combat and Optics systems; and
- Leading and overseeing IT project spending, hiring of staff, and contracting efforts related to IT systems; and
- Acting as a primary stakeholder in IT operational processes such as the System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) process; and
- Providing recommendations for improvements to IT systems based on user feedback.
