QualificationsINDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTThis position has an Individual Occupational Requirement that must be met prior to meeting the specialized experience.
Applicant must possess IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four (4) competencies listed below:
  • Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
  • Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
  • Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Specialized ExperienceYou qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in Federal service or equivalent private/public sector experience. For this position, specialized experience is defined as:
  • Assessing and evaluating automated test data and results; and preparing reports of findings with emphasis on the quality and integration of the automated testing components throughout the program's lifecycle.
  • Manages activities to plan, monitor, and conduct the standup and operations and maintenance of Test Automation Framework and automated testing activities of prototype, new, and modified large scale mission critical software systems.
  • Manages automated software test and evaluation activities, provides verification and validation of releases.

Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR
Certification This is a DHS Acquisition position and will require incumbent to obtain/maintain Acquisition Certification for DHS Test and Evaluation Managers. You must have or be able to obtain a DHS Acquisition Professional Certificate Level III in Test and Evaluation within 24 months of start date.
NOTE: If you currently possess this certification, you must submit a copy as proof of possession, otherwise you will receive an ineligibility rating.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
