U.S. Department of Justice is Hiring an Information Management Specialist Near Arlington, VA

Summary
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operations Division, OFFICE OF OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT (OM).
This position(s) primary purpose is to assists Senior Specialists in performing specialized administrative work to support the activation of crisismanagement functions and the day-to-day operations of the Command Center.

Duties
As a Information Management Specialist your typical work assignments may include:
Assisting senior specialists in performing specialized administrative work to support the activation of crisis management functions.
Responding to requests for information and activation of emergency response systems.
Coordinating assigned activities in support of the Operations Command Center communications network.
Reviewing and disseminating classified, compartmentalized, and sensitive information pertaining to potential and actual emergencies and all situations that impact the law enforcement mission of the agency.
Assisting in responding to requests for information and activation of emergency response systems.

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Employment is subject to the successful completion of a background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Incumbent is subject to random drug testing.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement. If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcripts with your application.
Applicants applying for the GS-09 must meet one of the following requirements:
A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-09 grade level.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Collecting and assembling data and information on intelligence matters, potential threats, enforcement activity, terrorist activity, Confidential Source activities, and critical incidents; 2) Performing analysis and review of investigative reports to extract data that is in support of enforcement and intelligence operations; 3) Assisting in all communications support for all types of offices and the Critical Incident Management Program; 4) Identifying informational, programming, and operational deficiencies and assists in resolving data base problems.
B. Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
OR
C. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-11 grade level.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Collecting and assembling data and information on intelligence matters, potential threats, enforcement activity, terrorist activity, Confidential Source activities, and critical incidents; 2) Performing analysis and review of investigative reports to extract data that is in support of enforcement and intelligence operations; 3) Assisting in all communications support for all types of offices and the Critical Incident Management Program; 4) Identifying informational, programming, and operational deficiencies and assists in resolving data base problems; 5) Diagnoses and corrects databases access, availability, reliability and security problems; 6) Conducts workflow analysis to reduce redundancy and improve efficiency. ???????
B. Education: Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree -or- three (3) full academic years of graduate level education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related.
OR
C. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
