Duties

As a Custodial Worker WG-3566-2, your typical work assignments may include the following :

• Performs comprehensive cleaning of classrooms, education laboratories, computer rooms, offices, hallways, dormitory / residential, and restroom facilities, etc.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and replenishes supplies, cleans spills, cleans drinking fountains, mirrors, tables, walls, fixtures, blinds, light fixtures, etc.
• Empties trash cans and relines cans with liners.
• Sweeps, mops, steam cleans, waxes, polishes, and buffs floors.
• Vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs.
• Cleans and dusts furniture, woodwork etc.
• Washes walls and partitions, venetian blinds and windows.
• Keeps all buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas clean of all debris and litter.
• Ensures that appropriate and necessary levels of inventory are on hand at assigned areas, orders necessary supplies and materials, and maintains accurate records of received and distributed items.
