Duties
Asan Equal Employment Specialist (Technical Advisor), You Will
  • Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate the FS EEO and affirmative employment programs and is a Bureau technical authority on complaint processing and compliance aspects of EEO and affirmative employment programs.
  • Serve as a consultant for senior level managers in such areas as complaint resolution, affirmative employment, sexual harassment, reasonable accommodations, external civil rights, and inclusion.
  • Provide advice concerning complex and controversial issues and eliminating barriers to EEO.
  • Conduct special projects or studies designed to eliminate major barriers to equal employment opportunity, covering segments of the Federal work force, and having a major impact on the equal employment opportunity of persons covered by laws or policies.
  • Ensure FS EEO and affirmative employment programs comply with Federal regulatory and statutory requirements and guidance.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years.
  • Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
  • Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
  • This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. QualificationsYou must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.
Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes all of the following;
  • Creates and conducts training materials on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Compliance, which may include EEO principles, workforce harassment prevention (including sexual harassment), reasonable accommodations, diversity management, conflict resolution and affirmative employment for all audiences. AND
  • Provides technical advice and assistance to resolve internal EEO program issues and ensures timely processing of programs in accordance with Fiscal Service policies and EEOC guidelines; AND
  • Produces reports on organizational profiles or ad hoc reports as necessary to fulfill document requests in relation to EEO complaints, reasonable accommodations, quarterly dashboards or quarterly Fiscal Service status meetings.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
